Hello,

I recently got a D in my AP Calc A/B class. I am horrible at math and science.(Side note: I am very strong in the humanities and hope to major in Journalism and Cultural Anthropology). Anyways, My D in Calc leads me to my main dilemma, how badly did I injury my chances at :

UC Santa Cruz
UC Irvine
Drexel University
Cal Poly
San Francisco State (Safety)

I currently have a measly 3.0 as a Junior which is an essential kiss of death. I have taken 4 AP courses this year (AP Chem-B, AP Eng-B, APUSH-A, and AP Calc-D) My other two courses were Latin II-B and Journalism-A. I am going to try a lot harder next semester to hopefully help my GPA but my question is Will colleges just instantly reject me due to my D? Does getting a high math grade next semester help me? and finally, Will getting a high SAT score levy my chances?

I have done a bunch of EC, most notably: Latin Club- Vice President, Journalism- Web Editor, FBLA- Reporter, Mathletes- Varsity (Ironic I know, my sophomore Pre-Calc teacher forced me into it), AP Club- Senator, College Club-Member, and my freshman year I was the JV captain of the Wrestling Team.

Thanks.
