How badly does a low Math score hurt a History/Classics-oriented person/major?

Hi CC-ers! I'm in the middle of college apps, as most of you are, and I was wondering how badly does a 560 in the Math section hurt you if your major/field of interest is heavily Classics/History-based?

Some other pieces of information:
- My total SAT Reasoning score is 1880 and 1870 for two sittings.
- SAT IIs have been a 780 for World History, and a 670 for US History (didn't study for the latter much at all). I've gotten fives on the Art History, US History, and World History exams, and am in AP Latin currently. My recs are from my Latin and Art History teacher.
- In a lot of my secondary essays, I talked about the severe struggles I had with Math coming from a third-world country that does not teach Math well in the slightest. (In the sixth grade, we were still learning long division, etc. Hadn't seen letters on math problems at all until coming to the States in the 7th grade hahaha.)
- I'm taking the December ACT, and I hope to do better. But again, Math kills me.
- Colleges: BU, NYU, UW, UCSB, UCSD, UCI, UCD, University of Wisconsin-Madison, and Purdue. All the majors I applied to have been Art History, Classics, or Undecided/General-Humanities.

Think anyone could help out a stressed senior?

It might depend on how far you’ve gone in math while in high school.

I’m currently in Pre-Calculus as a senior. I’ve had a consistent “B” average for Math for as long as I can remember.

What level of math do the colleges you are applying to recommend you complete? If they want you to have finished Calculus, you may have a problem but if not and you’ve explain yourself well in your essay about how you learned, you may be fine. I’m assuming your essays explained but that you weren’t complaining about your math classes in your first country.

Most of them only want four years of Math, none mention Calculus as required, I believe. The essay I wrote about Math was humorous, and yes, I didn’t complain but rather explained that I learned. Thank you so much! This puts me at ease, I’ve been stressing over the ACT and this is welcome relief.
