How badly should your grades suffer?

I'm wondering how badly your grades suffer for the NYU to decline admission.

Could anyone tell me the answer to this?

Thank you very much~~

I PM'd the NYUGADMISSIONS guy with the same Question.

Thank you for your message. This is a common question that our office hears from many students this time of year. Offers of admission are contingent upon the succesful completion of the course work you have in progres at the time that you apply. That being said, if your grade changes from - for instance - a "B+" to a "B" or an "A" to a "B" that would not give our Committee any reason for concern. If, however, we see a dramatic decline in performance - you fail a course or receive a "D" - then this could have some consequences. Occasionally we will admit a student on retro-active probation because of this type of decline. While it does sometimes occur, we rarely have to rescind an offer of admission because of a change in performance.

Again, this is a frequent question we receive so you should certainly feel free to share this information here at College Confidential should anyone have a similar question.

Bare in mind that would be an F or a D for the entire year, not just a quarter or semester. Basically, it's very difficult to get rescinded. You almost have to try to fail.

I'm so glad that NYU understands that the second semester of senior year really doesn't reflect the student!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :):):)
