does taking regular math classes in high school hurt me if i am going into enviornmental studies or animal biology? I have taken Bio ap but no physics as well

bump bump bump? btw im mostly talking about Davis. that caliber of a school.

For Davis, they want to know that you will have taken pre-calculus by senior year for environmental sciences–and probably calculus by senior year for their animal biology program (probably their highest ranked program).

You have to remember that Davis is considered one of the two best veterinarian programs in the country (along with Cornell), so their requirements for that program will be very tough compared to what it takes normally to get into Davis (or other similar UCs–like UCI and UCSB).

If you are taking regular math classes, I’d say that you should probably consider taking environmental sciences and animal biology at someplace besides UC Davis–maybe UCSC or UCI, for example. You will still need to take honors/IB/AP classes, but these can be in something besides math (for example, AP Biology, IB Physics, or Honors English).

ah ok cool thanks for the advice
