<p>I used to think that there was a huge difference between Georgetown and UT but after reading some of the posts on top-law-schools.com I'm no longer so sure. They argue that Gtown does NOT place as well nationally as UT and the only reason T14 exists is that they have been top 14 every year in the USN&WR instead of their national placement capabilities.</p>
<p>From what I have seen, Georgetown is only marginally better than UT-Austin where Law schools are concerned.</p>
<p>There isn't a huge difference between the two in national reputation, but there are far more Georgetown graduates working in DC than in Texas, and far more UT graduates working in Texas than in DC.</p>
<p>there's a difference in cost too if you're a texas resident.</p>
<p>There isn't much of a difference, but Georgetown's reputation as a law school is better.</p>
