How big of a boon is publishing a paper with NASA

Hello

I've started to narrow down my college list and pinpoint certain ones, but something a lot of people are telling me is that published research papers can really help. I'm working as an Earth Science Research Consultant (paid and all) currently at NASA Ames and we're doing a project that seems to be interesting some high ups in the science community. Does anyone know how beneficial this might be for top notch engineering schools?

It’ll look impressive. Might be a hook. You can talk about it in an essay too. Heck, you can even talk about it during an interview.

I agree with kagami6918. It will especially be impressive if you there’s a submitted paper with your name on the author list by the time you apply.
