How big of a role does your HS record play in transferring into an Ivy?!?!?!?!?!

What are my chances of transferring into an ivy?
specifically BROWN, COLUMBIA, CORNELL, YALE?
Also tell what my chances are of getting into any other top 25 school.
Thanks in advance! (:

HS GPA: 3.0 UW

SAT: 2120/2400
1470/1600
SATII: world history: 740
Bio: 770
Physics: 720
4.0 GPA at CC. Phi theta kappa as well.

you have average chances based on your hard data. Columbia GS is a good option for you.

^except he’ll have to postpone college for a couple of years for it, quite risky really.

^^^Or he can come up with an ‘extraordinary’ reason as to why he ‘must’ study on a part-time basis. He can then change his enrollment status later on.

Joey,

You may find yourself at a top 25. With regard to the Ivies you’ve listed, I would deem Cornell and Brown as very possible reaches for you.

^yes, I would scratch Yale off the list. Very few transfers are accepted (needed) each year and the applicant pull is cutthroat exceptional.

^^^Touche.

High school record takes a back seat to college record for transfers. You really need to kick @ss in college to get in as a transfer.

“You really need to kick @ss in college to get in as a transfer.”

Yes, and a 4.0 in community college is nothing to brag about. You need to get out and really do interesting things in order to sway admissions.
