ANDRE ETHIER!!! e

Dodgers clinch a place in the playoffs! Magic number for the NL West is 2!

Going to Game 1 tomorrow night.

GO DODGERS!

Go Cardinals!

Have fun ThisCouldBeHevn! I hope the Dodgers don’t lay an egg here. They have been anemic lately, and hopefully somebody, even Manny or whoever, provides some drama. I favor the Cardinals more than the Dodgers (I am a Joe Torre fan though). I just want my Yankees to go all the way lol ;)

L.A. sports fans should maim themselves. They definitely don’t deserve an NFL team. There are literally thousands of empty seats at this game.

The Orioles have sucked pretty much my entire life and attendance numbers have dwindled. But any Playoff game would EASILY be a sell out. You’d be paying triple face value outside Camden Yards to get a ticket.

Not selling out a Playoff game is just horrible.

In yo face noimagination!

And this game was sold out. Part of the reason for empty seats is that the Dodgers aren’t allowed to sell every possible seat (mostly traffic reasons). Also ticket brokers often snap up tickets before normal fans have a shot and fail to sell them online. (perhaps worth noting that Dodger Stadium has 7,000+ more seats than Camden Yards)

If the Dodgers can get past Wainwright they’ll win the series. But I’ve always considered the Cards to be a ticking time bomb. Dodgers got really lucky that they didn’t show up to play last night, because they had the bases loaded with less than 2 outs on more than one occasion.

Same could be said for the Dodgers. If they weren’t 2-15 with RISP it could have been a blowout.

I need another MLB team to root for. I have the Tigers sobs

just got back from the game

DODGERS WIN DODGERS WIN DODGERS WIN DODGERS WIN DODGERS WIN DODGERS WIN DODGERS WIN DODGERS WIN DODGERS WIN DODGERS WIN DODGERS WIN DODGERS WIN DODGERS WIN DODGERS WIN DODGERS WIN DODGERS WIN DODGERS WIN DODGERS WIN DODGERS WIN I LOVE YOU MARK LORETTA

^ I’m still in shock…

^Lol, me too!

i sorta want the dodgers to lose now because of all the annoying bandwagoners that have popped up -___-

^That happens every season. There’s no way to stop it. I am pretty surprised that the Cards’ two aces didn’t perform well. Actually, it wasn’t Wainright’s fault, but that staff is having some issues for sure. I’m just glad that Boston lost ;)

Wainwright was very unlucky. He basically gave up 2 hits in 8 innings, plus a walk and a hit batter. Actually tonight’s game was on the anniversary of Don Larsen’s perfect game against the Dodgers, and for a little while it looked like Wainwright could’ve repeated the feat.

^True that! Today was the anniversary of the Game 1 walkoff of the 1988 World Series, right? Well, Wainwright still will have a very bright future. I like how Manny thought that he was going to play for a richer contract this year. And he kinda flopped. I’m sure he’s glad that he added an extra year on that deal.

I don’t believe you on the seating thing. It showed up again last night. Thousands of empty seats. I can guarantee you won’t see that at any of the other 7 stadiums hosting a Playoff game.

A metro area of ten million people should be able to sell out a 100,000 seat stadium for a Playoff game. Let alone 56 k. Now, I know the stadium is terrible but it should still EASILY be full.

Now, I would love for the Dodgers to finish this off. I can’t stand the Cardinals and juicing Pujos. That was a gift yesterday and I still think this Series is completely up in the air.

Yeah just checked and last night’s announced attendance was 51,819. Considering no shows that probably means there were only around 50 k there. At least 6 k open seats. Pathetic.

And I looked up your excuse. Completely wrong because the Dodgers had 57,099 on Opening Day. Joke of a fan base.

Game 1 was sold out; Game 2 wasn’t because it was early on a weekday afternoon. There was no game last night.

that doesn’t show anything wrt whether they can sell every seat. Fact is, there are more than 1,500 seats they can’t sell.
