How 'bout these stats?

Hi. I'm a sophomore right now, and I'm interested in going to a top school for business, specifically Finance.
I was just curious to know what kind of schools are realistic for me...?

Right now:
4.314 Weighted GPA
3.90 Unweighted GPA
21/450 class rank
PSAT scores were somewhat low (M 670, CR 510, W 570) - 1750.
2 years Lacrosse (1 JV, 1 V), 1 year Varsity Tennis, 1 year FBLA, 1 year NHS
South Carolina Resident

Classes:
AP Human Geography
AP English Language
Chemistry H
Physics H
Spanish III
Sociology
IB Math SL 1

End of Sophomore year (Will definitely happen)
4.37 GPA
16ish/440 class rank

Junior year (realistic goals)
4.47
11ish/450 class rank
2100 SAT (780 M, 650 CR, W 670)
2 years Varsity Lacrosse, 1 year JV, 1 year Varsity Tennis, 2 years FBLA, 2 year NHS, 1 year Junior Civitans, owner of a small t-shirt business grossing a small amount (I'm hoping I can have it make $3000/yr by the end of junior year, substantially higher by the end of senior year)

Classes:
IB Spanish I
IB English I
IB Math SL 2
AP U.S. History
IB Chemistry
AP Psychology
IB Theory of Knowledge

By the end of my senior year, my goals are:
4.53 GPA
9/450 (top 2%)
2100 SAT
Graduate with an IB Diploma

I know a lot of the information I gave was theoretical, and only planned, but I believe most of it is very realistic for me.

What are my chances of getting into a very good business school?
If I can't get into a 'top' school, what kind of b-school would be realistic for me?

Thanks.

With that you would get into many good business schools. Do focus on bringing up your rank and aim for higher than 2100 for Dartmouth and other top schools.

Do you really think many top schools would be realistic for me with those improvements? Wow. What about right now, with my current stats, what kind of schools are realistic for me?

I think it’s a bit of a reach, considering your current standing point. The PSAT scores are extremely low, your class rank isn’t too great and you don’t really have many outstanding ECs that show your interest in business besides the T-shirt business. I’d definitely try to get a higher class rank (probably in the top ten), definitely a better SAT (2200+ just to be safe, but there is more competition with different ethnic groups so it all depends really).

Since a lot of what you’re giving is just theoretical, it’s hard to make a judgment. I’d say to just follow what you like to do, stick with it, get those great SAT scores (and don’t forget the SAT IIs!), and you’ll be fine.

Since you’re interested in business, maybe intern somewhere where you can learn about finance and stuff? The business idea is good, maybe take college classes on finance, maybe start a club at your school based on business/economics/finance/etcetc, stuff like that.

I’m a sophomore too heehee. Good luck! n___n

My comment was good schools, not top schools.

Oh yeah, yeah, yeah. I wasn’t expecting to be admitted to Wharton or HBS anytime soon, I was just curious to see what ‘level’ of business school is realistic for me now and what would be realistic for me in the near future.

I plan on attending a lot more clubs and gaining a few more leadership positions. I will most likely be intern for a finance/business type company over the summer and the next summer. I will be growing my t-shirt business to very profitable levels as soon as possible, and I believe that will influence my ability to get into a good college.

Thanks for all the responses so far. Apparently I can get into a ‘good school’ but not a ‘top school’… what kind of good schools can I get into?
