How Cal review your application

<p>Hey,</p>

<p>Can anybody tell me how Cal review transfer appllications. Do they compare your grades, and GPA to the rest of the applicants who applied for the same major as you, or do they compare it to the applicants of the college u are applyling to.</p>

<p>Im hoping to apply to the College of Letters and Science for Political Economy and my gpa will be about 3.62, honors program and EC's.</p>

<p>You compete by department. I believe Political Economy is part of the social sciences department which is pretty competitive. I believe last year it had about a 20% admit rate and possibly a lower number this year.</p>

<p>Political Economy is not apart of social sciences. Its admission rates is around 35% I believe it is considered an interdisciplinary major.</p>

<p>they split the applications into even and odds
then they roll a dice... if ur application is even and the dice is an even number than ur in...
if not then try again ^ - ^</p>

<p>once you are admitted into a particular college at cal, is it possible to change to a different major offered in a different college?</p>

<p>Im looking at Political economy and Environmental econmics and Policy.</p>
