Any tips?
Really you should be aiming to do your best rather than for a specific score. The difference between a 33 and 34 is just a couple questions, so your goal should be to get as many right as you can, not aim for a certain score. Also, the number of questions you need right for these scores varies from test to test.
That said, I can’t give a ton of advice on most of these subjects because I didn’t study for the ACT, but I’d say that for science the main thing is just that you read the graphs and information they give you. Science is basically a reading test with graphs, you don’t need anything more than a basic understanding of some general science concepts to answer the questions, so long as you can interpret the information you’re given.
As far as English goes, I’d say the best thing you can do is read, and when you see a word you don’t know, actually look up the definition and put the definition down in a list on your phone or a notebook. When you read, most people skip over words they don’t know and figure it out with context clues, but this doesn’t help you when the ACT gives you a sentence and asks you to select the word that makes sense. You have to be familiar with the definitions.
