Emory is my number one choice and where I really want to go. If money was not an option, I would go there for sure.

However, I did not get a very good financial aid package. I only recieved $34,224 in grants and scholarships, leaving me $17,908 short of the $52,132 tuition. After $2,000 a year for work study, $3,500 a year for federal sub loan and $2,000 a year for federal unsub loan, I'm still $10,408 short of the cost of tuition. My parents are not financially well off and have bad credit and are thus unable to take out loans. So my question is: how can I make up this $10,408 difference? I was told that there is a cap on how much student can take out in loans. I have called the financial aid office and they wont lower my tuition any more. I have received a couple of scholarships, including one for $1,000 and one for $2,000 for four years.... but that isn't enough to pay for Emory.

Emory is a top university. I worked really hard in high school, am valedictorian of my class, and it is where I really want to go. My alternative is to go to Case Western, but I really want to go to Emory. Any suggestions?
