Wow, didn’t think about my aid decreasing if I don’t take the room and board… that might change things :/. That is super annoying that they even think of doing that. I really appreciate the tough love you guys are giving me though, not joking. I’m going to sit down with my parents and look at our options but unless NYU is more generous than BU it seems like I’m going to be in Minnesota for the next two years. I really don’t mind living here honestly, Twin Cities are great but I absolutely hate the long winters.
Since you’re saving a boatload of money by going to UMN-TC, how about next year you take a Spring semester abroad in a city where it’s nice and warm? You’d have January, February, March, and April where it doesn’t feel like Winter AND you’d get to live in another city AND it wouldn’t cost much since you have such an awesome scholarship from UMN (scholarships “travel” with you if you go with a UMN program).
