How can i choose the right Chemistry class? (Lab vs Lecture vs Lecture combined section)

Im in community college and i need to take a chemistry class. I will see my counselor Monday but i want to sign up for a class before i see her. Just in case the class gets filled. So i have 3 options for “Elements of General Chemistry”. There is “Lecture”, “Lab”, And “Lecture” that says “Notes: This is a combined section class” in the bottom. It says exactly:

10-LEC
Regular

11-LAB
Regular

12-LEC
Regular
Notes: This is a combined section class

Im not sure if anyone will know the answer to this question, I feel like it might only apply to my community college. I will definitely see my counselor Monday, but i just wanted to get a class just in case they fill up.

ALSO!!!

All the classes say “Laboratory Required, Lecture Required”. And they’re all 5 units. The Lab class doesn’t have any books that you have to buy, where as the lecture class does. I really don’t understand this at all. Does this mean if i don’t take a combined section lecture than i have to take 1 normal lecture and 1 normal lab? Thats 10 credits for chemistry 110, that doesn’t make sense.

I figured it out. Incase anyone needs to know in the future. You need either a combined class, or one lecture and one lab.

thank you!
