How can I do more?

Hey! My name is Ishaan, and I am currently a freshman. I am aspiring to get into a top college. I wanted to know how I can do that. There are a plentiful amount of resources but they are all very general, and they should be. I am looking for some personalized advice. Aside from excelling academically, what can I do?

Everyone has EC’s and good grades and volunteering hours… What I am asking to myself, is how I am different? And truth be told, at this moment, I am not different from any other kid trying to get into a selective college.

I want to study computer science or medicine when I become an adult. I would say those things I am passionate about. My extracurriculars include speech and debate, robotics, key club, basketball, and my own club and enjoy playing guitar, volunteering, and video games. Based on this, what can I do other than just doing EC’s, volunteering, and excelling academically. (Coding an app? Launching a Health Sciences program?)

There are a lot of universities with very good computer science programs.

There are a lot of universities with very good premed programs.

Keep ahead in your classes and try to get good grades. Participate in extracurricular activities that you want to participate in.

Then relax.
