How can I fix this?

So the first time I applied to UF (many months ago) my first application was not saved correctly (on the schools error) and my application was completely messed up. It was missing most of my ECs and things like that. (my temporary username was "notagator" for god sake, my sister that went to FSU did that to me as a prank. I fixed it, but it didn't save in the final draft, so they saw it as "notagator")

So I called them about it (many months ago) and they basically said I couldn't edit my application and nothing ele could be done. So, in an effort to do something, I made a new application with everything included in it, and sent it to them. Of course I knew it couldn't be considered for admission, but I sent it anyway.

So I called them today and a woman answered and talked to me about what happened and she basically told me she could do nothing, but saw my two applications (i didn't even send the second one technically, but somehow I guess they could review it) and she told me only the first one could be reviewed, and to create a gator-id to check their decision on Friday.

I don't know what to do, but obviously their decision on my first application will be a no because hardly anything is actually filled out. My essay was completed and each section had a few words written, but the whole thing was not fully completed when it was sent.

I feel like I've been cheated here because I've done nothing wrong and my application looks like crap because of it.

is there anything i can do or anything someone else can do to help me? and if I get denied is there anything i can do to argue my case? thank you.

It sounds very unfortunate and i really hope they can see some light in it. The thing is, though, that the application asks you to type it on a notepad and then copy it onto the text fields in order to prevent unsaved issues. Its not necessarily the schools fault because they have no control on your end of the screen.

I think you can argue your case, but am unsure how.

If your SAT and class rank are above their medians you’re prob fine anyway. If not, it seems really unfair to me they are treating you like this. You should be able to make changes on the application even once its submitted, have your parents or an adult call and insist they consider your completed application.
