In previous threads I was worrying about summer programs, but now I’m looking more into internships. I’m a sophomore and think I’m interested in social science/political science/humanities in general, but far from decided. I know it’s easier to find internships in STEM fields, but who knows!
I’d like to get some experience over the summer to help me discover interests and get my first work experience. I live in a suburb of Atlanta, and it’s been hard to find opportunities near me that I won’t have to commute 40 minutes to. I’ll start by writing a resume for the first time, but where can I go from there? What organizations should I be looking out for and how should I approach them? Thanks!
Why not apply for summer jobs in retail or restaurants like other teens? Internships for high schoolers are often kind of a made up thing that well-connected parents arrange for their kids.
