I am a 17 year old high school student, and I want to get an internship. Could anyone please give me some advice about how to get an internship and where (which website) I can find intern opportunities? Thanks.

There’s a post about this somewhere already. You have very few options since most internships, unless they are specifically geared towards high school students, will accept you over a undergrad/grad student.

1- you have connections, use them to get a job
2- it’s geared towards high school students
3- (this is just my opinion) it’s research. a lot of researchers need grunt-work minions or help so you can always ask around labs or colleges etc. in your area (if applicable) to see if anyone needs help

If you don’t mind doing grunt work, you can call/e-mail a lot of places. This will only work at smaller firms

I asked a friend of my mom’s if his insurance agency needed an intern and he said that they needed a marketing specialist, to handle things like mailers, flyers, events, give away items, etc. I worked there for 6 months (at age 16, junior in high school) before I got a paid research internship designing a computer program (at 17, the age I am now). That one I found through my AP Environmental Science teacher.

Just ask around.
