<p>Im a senior in HS right now, and will be going to Community College this fall, hoping to attend Cal Poly Pomona, Cal State Fullerton, or maybe Long Beach, etc after CC to get my BS in Business Administration concentration Computer Information Systems. So far, i want to go down the Networking career route, but things might change as the years go by. Anyways, i want to get my toes wet and see what it is like in the real life industry, not just what it seems like to others online. So i was thinking it would be a good idea to get an Internship as something like as a Help Desk Tech. or some other Tier 1 entry level IT position. I am willing for it to be non paid, but pay would be amazing. I was even thinking of asking if i can shadow a worker for a day or so just to see what a day in their life is like and how the work is. Thing is, i cant find any of these things online that would be good for me, they all expect prior experience and certifications... Ive never even had a job before, and i do not have any industry certs and cannot afford to get any, not even an A+ or CCENT cert. How do i go about finding a true entry level internship or shadowing an IT worker/department. I mean, who do i ask, where do i even start or look to? Its not like i can just e-mail every business around me and ask if they have an IT dept. and ask if i can shadow a worker or intern for free, that would take forever and 90% would reject me. Where do i start, look, how do i go about doing this? PLEASE HELP!!</p>
