How Can I Get Application Fee Waivers?

Is there anyway that I can get application fees waived even if I'm not from a 'low income' family? I live with a single parent, i have 2 siblings in college, and I am going to be applying to Ivy League/Top National Universities. Most of these schools have like $70 application fees that I'm not sure if it is financially feasible for my dad to pay. I got a call from a recruiter from Stetson who is giving me a fee waiver because I have set up a meeting with her. Is there anything I can do like this for other schools to get fee waivers?

Google ‘Harvard Application Fee Waivers’ and found this [Harvard College Admissions § Financial Aid: FAQs](http://www.admissions.college.harvard.edu/financial_aid/faq.html#4)

First of all, find out if your dad can pay the application fees. If paying the fee would actually be a hardship, fee waivers are generally available. If paying the fees would merely be inconvenient, then you would not be eligible.

To get fee waivers, you would need to ask your guidance counselor to submit a request, on your behalf, to each of the colleges you are applying to.

I hesitate to ask this…but not all top schools meet full need for all accepted students. If you can’t pay the $70 application fee, how will you pay the costs to attend?

Keep in mind that you will also need to submit the Profile to most of these colleges for aid consideration, and if you are not low income, it is highly unlikely that you will get a fee waiver for those costs.

I’m curious why you feel a student from a family that is NOT low income should receive these waivers.
