hello :) if i go into edmonds cc ,do i have a chance to get transferred to UC ?
or should i go into cc in california ?
thanks!

Hi chewingum,
I am guessing edmonds cc is located in the state of Washington. As a Washington State resident, you may apply to a UC as an out of state student applicant. Depending on your major, you may be able to participate in the WUE program, which would bring the cost of attendance down.
I hope this helps.

UC? U Chicago? U Cincinnati? U California school system?

thankyou:)

No University of California schools offer WUE discounts. A few of the least selective California State Universitiy schools do.

it’s university of california :)

If you attend a California CC you can use the TAG program to get guaranteed admission to many of the UC campuses (you must choose only 1 campus for the guarantee). That said, I always advise OOS students to think carefully about attending UC. You can get the same large classes and lack of personal attention/advising for much less at your state U; or, for what you pay to attend a UC as an OOS student you can get a much different experience at a private.

Students who transfer in as juniors tend to see smaller class sizes (at any school). Also, not all private schools have small class sizes; check the on-line schedules of classes at each school to see what the class sizes actually are.

IMO, you would foolish to pay OOS prices, when you have a fantastic instate option: UDub.
