How can I improve my 26 Reading score in two weeks?

I cannot get anything above a 30 on my practice tests, and my best actual ACT reading score was a 26. My other subscores were English 34, Math 34, and Science 31. I'm aiming for a 32-33, and all I want is a 30 (or higher) on reading. My overall composite is a 31. What are some tips that you guys can give me in order to improve my reading score?

And if you can't tell, I'm a major procrastinator considering I'm taking the ACT in two weeks. Wish me luck...?

I’m with you. I got a 32 on math, 32 on Science, 30 on English, and 26 on reading. I’m happy with a 30 composite, but it’d be nice if I could get all sections in the 30’s.

It’s basic reading comprehension. However, the time you have to answer all of the questions is very limited. The only way you’ll get better is through practice (when it comes to ACT science and English). If we were all given 20-30 more minutes for each of these sections, every one would get 36’s. Order McGraw Hills’ 10 ACT practice tests book (or download it) and get to work. Good luck! :)

I heard McGraw Hill is really easy compared to the actual ACT. Are the reading questions around the same difficulty?
And I always rush through the reading section because I know I only have a short amount of time to read long, boring passages and answer the stupid questions that come along with it. Maybe I should “time my time” but without taking too long! Haha…

McGraw-Hill is easier than the actual ACT.

Timing yourself with Princeton Review or Real ACT would be very helpful. Then make sure that you have a way to check time during the actual test.
