I'm going to take the SAT again in May (want to get 1500+). What are my
chances of getting into the RPI/AMC program? I really want to go there.

Do something unique. Everyone does research, volunteer in a hospital, president of "club", etc. It's that one different thing that gets you an interview or acceptance. Keep your GPA above a 3.7 and your SAT's around a 2100+.

For example. I was a competetive fencer and an avid photographer. It's the things that make you human that get you in not your "nerdy" qualities.

thanks for the advice dude.......does being an active member of a religious organization count for that? I'm really passionate about my religion.

well it does count for something but a lot of people are passionate about their religon. You definitely have a decent resume but it is important that you get a 1500+ sat score (math/verbal) to make your chances solid.

Grades are a must obviously but a 2400 doesn't guarantee even just an interview. Once you have that though, you are at level with everybody that consider these programs. You want to go above that norm. Also the essays are really important. How you present all your accomplishments is also a major factor. Religion is important and unique. I think I mentioned my religious/ spiritual beliefs during an interview and they were interested in that aspect.

Definately try to raise your combined Verbal/Math to at least a 1450. By even considering programs you have a chance. I feel like if you really want to be in a combined program, you'll get into one.

Thanks for the advice guys.....Do you knnow if any of these programs prefer the SAT over the ACT? My ACT is slightly better, most conversion charts place a 33 ACT as 1460-1500 on the SAT....Will they just look at the better score?

Well the internship is at Henry Ford Hospital in detroit and it was rewarded as the best internship program in all of michigan....what sort of summer research opportunities are available?

Research isn't that important for the RPI P-S program, they love it, but you don't have to be crazy with it. As long as you show some interest in it, you'll be fine. You're really into your religion? Thats good. Emphasize that in your interview. Make sure your grades/SATs (at least 1480) are there so you get the interview. Remember that at least half the program is indian, so if you're really into your religion, show that not only do u love philosophy of religion, but you like writing. RPI, being a technical school, will value people skilled in humanities and arts. Besides that you should be fine. I'm at RPI and loving it, absolutely no regrets, and I admire the program more and more as I approach AMC.
