<p>Hi, I got waitlisted to both Columbia University and the University of Pennsylvania. What should I do to improve my chances of being accepted off of the waiting list? If I write a brief letter to each university, what should this letter include?

<p>Frankly, your odds of getting in off the waitlist are about the same as they were of getting in as a regular admit. <p>But if you want to do what you can, write letters saying the school is your top choice and promising to enroll if admitted.</p>
