Hi, I will be entering my senior year of high school this fall. I have taken the ACT twice and will have 3 more chances to improve my scores. I can more easily improve my english scores than my math and science; however, I still need to improve my math and science scores by at least 2 or 3 points. I feel like my math and science scores are really bringing down the overall score.. If they just increase a bit, I could achieve a low 30

My first ACT: 26
English 26
Math 24
Reading 20
Science 23
Essay 7/12

Second ACT: 27
English 32
Math 23
Reading 31
Science 23
Essay 8/12

I feel if I had more time, I could get a decent score for science. But math? Forget about it! Math is a subject Im weak in at school. I find the math on the ACT to be difficult.

What can I do to improve my math scores? Should I invest in a tutor? I know people say practice practice practice, but I don't learn that way... I need to know how to recognize it first, and be able to solve it.

Science

what are some tips to focus on while taking this?
I already know: don't waste time reading passages...

Thank You!
