Hey guys, I've been starting to worry about my SATs, since I've left them for the last minute. I got into Kaplan's classes, but I'm not sure they're being of much help. I took a practice SAT the first day and got 1600, which is good, but I'm aiming for 1900+ on the real one (hopefully lol). My main problem was my math (mainly 'cause I didn't remember most of the formulas and such, which I assume will be reviewed in-class).

Now, my main problem is that I don't feel like I'm improving in Reading or Writing. All our teacher does is make us read a segment, answer the questions and then tells us the correct answer. She won't explain why it is right or why the answer we chose is wrong.
I feel like the class is very unbalanced and too big to function correctly (scores on the practice test ranged from 800-1700)..
Our book does not tell you why an answer is correct or not, it simply states the correct answer.

I'm going to be taking my SAT on late January and most likely will have to retake it (doubt I'll get the score I want), but I'd really like to see an improvement here!
How can I practice on my own and feel like I'm actually improving?
