<p>if I get 10(hopefully) on essay section and do a little better in multiple choice can my writing score bo over 700?</p>

<p>Well, do you have any prep books? They usually have strategies for writing the essay. My PR book does, and the tips work really well.</p>
<p>A couple of years ago someone analyzed SAT essay scores and found that longer essays received higher scores. So if you can, try to fill both pages of the available space.</p>
<p>^One unlucky kid I know did just that and received a score of 7.</p>
<p>Consider writing an “academic” essay using two or three figures from history or literature. Rosa Parks, Steve Jobs, Martin Luther King, William Lloyd Garrison and Rachel Carson are particularly good examples that fit a lot of topics. For literary examples check out To Kill A Mockingbird, Great Gatsby and Scarlett Letter.</p>
