A few months ago, I took the ACT and a got a 31 composite. My individual scores were 35 Math, 33 English, 31 Reading, and 25 on Science. The science section completely dragged down my composite score. I am mainly having time constraint problems, and I also tend to get bogged down with all of the details. I have heard that skipping the graphs and charts will help alot. What did you guys do to get a great score on the Science section? (I am hoping for at least 31 on the next test that I take)
Thanks

Skip trying to understand what the experiment is. Focus on what the question is asking and what info is needed.

36 on Science.

DS,

What material you used to prepare for science?

well as you know the science test isn’t a science test at all. ★★the best way to tackle it is to view it as another reading test.★★ all of your information is in the text, charts, and graphs, much like how all the reading answers are in the in the passages. a good idea would be know how much time you have to spend on each passage and to take a watch into the act to help time yourself. alot of people say not to read the info but rather the questions- don’t do that. read the info and if you dont get a basic understanding of the material, go ahead and skim the questions or skip to the next passage. and the number one thing to do is to NOT freak out. it seems hard but the science puzzle can be cracked by keeping calm. feel tired or sluggish? tell yourself you got this! oh & goodluck (: hope this helps!

thanks for the feedback
bella, I use practice tests from barrons
