How can I increase my chances?

I’m a rising junior, moved to the US this August. Do you think I’ll be able to get into Barnard?

I joined Philosophy Club and Student Respect Committee this year. I write in my spare time (hoping to make something of that), and might join Model UN next year. I’m also learning to play the piano.
I’m also taking Algebra 2 over the summer. Simultaneously, I’ll be on vaction in Asia, if that matters…

Junior Year schedule:

I’m trying to change choir to AP Bio but the class is full. :frowning: hopefully someone will drop out.

How do you guys suggest I can better my app over the next two years?

oh forgot to mention that I’ll have about 20 hours of library volunteer by the end of the year.

Wow, you’re motivated. : )
You should maybe try getting some leadership positions? Not for the sake of obtaining leadership, obviously, but a leadership position will show Barnard that you have responsibility and independence and drive. I don’t remember the number, but at the spring open campus, a dean was reading out stats for the 2015 class, and she said that ___ (a high number) of us were editors-in-chief of our school newspaper or yearbook. Everyone chuckled at that.
I think every college looks at quality rather than quantity, and your schedule looks good so far! I don’t think I had too many extra currics. Personally, (it sounds corny but) I think the best thing to do is to find something or a few things you love and do them well.
and obviously, maintain your stellar grades!
