I am an international student, taking a gap year because I haven't given my SAT, and other necessary exams yet. In this period, how can I prove that I did volunteer works if I did some? Take pictures of myself doing so and show it to the colleges? I don't quite understand the procedures here.

The directors of most organizations that you volunteer for can verify your participation or hours in writing.

and how do we show that written certification?

Colleges will take you at your word. If they want additional details/verification, they will ask, and you can refer to @NorthernMom61 's post above.

You don’t have to submit proof or certification because no colleges want them. They’ll just believe you. Yes, it means some people lie. But this also should tell you how little voluntarism really means. Bascially zero. No college wants the information that @Northernmom61 describes.

You don’t have to submit proof unless the college asks for it. But if did a tremendous amount of meaningful volunteering during the gap year, you can always ask your supervisor to write an letter of recommendation to submit to colleges (it would not replace one from a teacher, but it could be an additional recommendation).

No proof is necessary. Colleges will take your word for it. This goes for any EC. A great way for you to show “proof” though is to have a supervisor write you a letter of recommendation. I had my boss/supervisor write me a letter to verify that I did contribute in the way I had described I did.
