I’m sorry if there is already so many questions about this or this is the wrong forum to post on, but I’m just so worried!! How can I raise my GPA above a 4.0 if I have a 3.9 I’m the first quarter of junior year? I was homeschooled for the first two years of high school so honestly junior and senior year are all I have to make my GPA
To raise your GPA above a 4.0, you need to take Honors/AP/IB or Dual Enrollment courses where the school will give you extra points for the advanced classes. Not all schools do a weighted GPA. If your unweighted GPA is 3.9, then you are doing fine. Most colleges will use their own weighting system and not consider a HS weighting system. Just take challenging courses and maintain your current GPA.
@Gumbymom Thank you!! Currently I go to a /extremely/ small lutheran high school ( 32 students, and there is only 6 people in my class!! ) this school doesn’t have any AP classes or any art classes, which I need if I’m planning on going to a competeitve art school. But I’m planning on switching to a public school which has large amounts of AP classes and WAY more art classes next semester or sooner so hopefully I can work at it
