Hello.
I am a junior in high school, and I really screwed up this year. As of now, I’m on track to end the year with ~2.3 GPA. I didn’t do that well because I didn’t apply myself how I applied myself junior & sophomore year, where I got a ~3.8 GPA both years.
I currently live in Connecticut and go to a public school in a small town. My parents are trying to find a house in Florida, so I may be moving there for the next school year. My question now, is how I can repeat my junior year?
This is a tough place to be in, especially because junior year grades mean a lot in the college admissions process. I guess the only options you have are to re-take everything online, or re-classify.
I’m in favor of reclassifying, but how would I go about it?
Not sure since you are switching to another school. My advice would be for you to talk this over with your parents. Make sure that they fully support you in this decision. You need to confirm the school you will be going to next year. This is something that will have to be discussed about with higher officials.
I spoke it over with my parents – they just want me to do what is best for the future… I spoke with my guidance counselor and he said that if I stay at this school right now, I won’t be able to reclassify. But hopefully I can reclassify in Florida.
