How can I score 2000+ by March SAT? [More info inside]

Hey guys.

I scored a 183 on my PSAT.

CR:59
Math:61
Writing:63

I was wondering what I can do to score at least a 2000 when I take the SAT this March. I have the Grubers SAT guide and I have Barrons 2400 on the way from Amazon.

I take practice tests at home occasionally and I score around the high 1800s. Any help or tips are welcome especially If you were in a situation like the one I am in. Thanks.

I had a 172 on my PSAT w no prep and got a 2110 w little prep
I’d say practice more, not just by sitting down once in a while for 4 hours and taking a practice test but also by doing hardere questions only and working on your weaknesses and perfecting your strengths. I never sat down for more than an hour to study and I study for a week before I took the test but it was productive, I raised all my score by more than 100 points.

Thanks for the advice. I see how solving harder questions can help since I usually get all the easy and medium questions right. What guide did you use to study?

Of course there’s the “do a lot of tests” option. One thing you should keep an eye out for are the types of questions. This helped me a lpt in the writing section. After doing several tests, I realized there were some common errors that the test would try to trip you up on for sentence correcting. I basically formed a quick checklist and my score went from a 630 to a 730. good luck!

I used the Kaplan Math workbook and the Official SAT Study Guide, mostly to practice and review answer explanations
