HOW CAN I SEND IN MY FIRST QUARTER GRADES for STANFORD REA?

Hey,

I'm applying REA. My 1st quarter grades were good. If I want to send them in (since my counselor hasn't been contacted to send them), how do i go about it?

Is there a specific form or mailing label or should I just fax in my report card?

How exactly do i go about it?

I know there is a way for your counselor to do it through Common App, but at this point you should probably just fax it in. You should call and ask to see what Stanford prefers, though.

I believe Stanford does not require to send 1st quarter grade to be submitted?

I know. but i WANT to because my grades r good.

Well, you may want them in, but Stanford does not want them YET for REA applicants. They will want them in late January/early February, so they can confirm your courses in progress and see your grades. If they are not up to par, then Stanford holds the right to rescind your offer of admission. But, right now, is not the time. So, no, Stanford will NOT see your First Quarter grades before REA decisions are released.

Just for F.Y.I., they want semester grades not just individual quarters. These semester grades will be included your midyear report which is in the hands of your guidance counselor.

BUT:

i talked to an admissions rep for Stanford and she said that sometimes Stanford calls up the student’s counselor to obtain first quarter grades to take a look.
I think they DO want them.

So…

Well, that’s up to them. If they want them, they will call your counselor.

i sent mine.

arrness:
May i ask how you sent them in?

Where do they say not to send first trimester/quarter grades?!?!?!

i printed it out, put it in an envelope, and shipped it FedEx overnight in a large box with packaging peanuts for cushioning

My GC sent mine without even my request. Awesome! I doubt Stanford would not want more information…

I hope he/she sent it using the proper procedure.

^So do I! What are the proper procedures?
