How can I stand out in a Group Interview?

I've decided that I'd like to join the Leadership Committee at my school. It's basically like Student Council, but a lot more hands on. It's actually a class, but there is a student cap of only 25 students, so competition is stiff. I'm thinking that about 100 + students will be applying for the Committee. I've already sent out my application and I think I did well in voicing my interests and talents. Interview are supposed to be held this week, during lunches and after school, so I'm guessing it's going to be one of those group interviews in which there are 10 other people competing for the same spot. I have a few questions:

1) What types of questions might be asked?

2) I wasn't given an exact date on which my interview would be held. Does that mean that I shouldn't dress up for the occasion. And if so what should I wear (I'm a girl, btw).

3) How can I stand out against 10 or so other students?

4) Should I seem casual and laid back or formal and attentive?

any other advice would be greatly appreciated

thanks

3) Build on others kids’ ideas. If it is a focused group discussion, add your own thoughts that relate directly to what others have said, but make them unique. Question others if you think they say something a bit unclear or something, so it shows you are engaged.

4) Be more laid back, casual. Group interviews are meant to be that way.
