I am currently a Junior in high school and I'm getting a 4.3 GPA. I will be taking my SATs this January for the first time. UCLA is my dream school and I read on here on CC that UCLA looks for someone who stands out in their community, or has a special talent. I want to major in Entrepreneurship/Economics when I go to college, and I want to go to UCLA. Can anyone give me advice as to how I can stand out in my community so I can get to go to my dream university? I really have no idea how to start.

Your best bet is to follow a passion. If you love business then consider starting one that fills a need you recognise in your area. Look into internship opportunities (talk to businesses, Don’t try to just google info.) If there are any causes you believe in, join a club and run for treasure. Start a group that fundraiser for a particular charity or cause. Basically, get involved in the community in ways that speak to you.

Start a business. A girl at my son’s school liked making cupcakes and she segued that into a successful catering business.
