How can I track my UM application?

Hi, I submitted my Common App to Miami a few weeks ago and wanted to make sure they received my school transcripts. I was never e-mailed a conformation saying my application had been received or a link to a Cane ID. I made my own Cane ID later on but now all it says when I log in is "You may now enter the URL you would like to visit in the address bar." How does Cane ID work and can I track my app on it? Thank you!

Smoky,

Log in on this screen: https://caneid.miami.edu/cas/login?service=https%3A%2F%2Fcaneid.miami.edu%2Fidp%2FAuthn%2FRemoteUser

In the middle of the screen click on the “Go To Student Center” tab. On the left side of the next screen you’ll see the ‘To Do’ list, that notes what’s missing from your application.

That said, there is a note on the home page stating, “Please note that we are currently experiencing issues with the ‘to do’ list functionality. This problem will be resolved by 11/11/2013 at 8am.” In addition, they state somewhere else on the site that they’re innundated with literally more than 100,000 supporting documents, and that it can take two weeks or more before transcripts, school reports, etc. are placed into your admission file.

Good Luck!

Thank you!

I went today and they told me not to create my own CaneLink ID ( even though I had already done it) to avoid confusion. BTW they extended the deadline to 11/12 to apply.

For me the to do list says “initiated” for both my guidance counselor rec and my transcripts. Is that supposed to be a weird way to say that I’ve submitted my stuff? I mean, you’ve either done it, or you haven’t.

My daughter’s too so I guess we are in the right track.

Why am I unable to access CaneLink? I sent out my app last week and made a CaneLink ID but the site says there is an error.

It took Miami more than one week to send me my CaneID and confirmation email. No need to worry! :)

Im an international spring transfer applicant who applied just before the deadline they received all my forms a few weeks ago according to canelink just wondering how much longer i can expect to find out if im admitted or not anyone know

The ED reply is Dec 15th. EA is Feb (last year it was the 1st).

Anyone who applied EA still seeing a to do item on your CaneLink accout? DS still see a to do item of counselor recommendation letter on the CaneLink. However, he sees that on his Comm App, the ‘school report’ was downloaded on 10/29.

Give it time, it should be fine.
