so i applied to these schools : University of Chicago, Vanderbilt, Tulane, Tufts, GA Tech, and Emory
but i regret not applying to JHU and Yale…
how long do i have to be in school at one of these schools before i can transfer (in general) ?

i don’t regret applying to my current colleges… it’s just that after hearing my friends who have lower standards than me who applied to schools like: Harvard, Upenn, and JHU… im sort of pissed off at myself for not applying to at least 1 ivy league school…

Most of the schools you listed are just as prestigious as an ivy league university, and you will undoubtedly receive an incredible education at any one of them. Honestly, if you are lucky to be accepted to any of them you should try your very hardest to exhaust your options there before even considering transferring. If you actually find your freshman year unbearable for some reason, note that most schools require you to complete an entire year at your institution before transferring. Trust me, if you go into college looking to transfer, that year will be absolutely miserable.
