My GPA as reported on my transcript is a 3.491/4.000. Many internships require a minimum of a 3.5. Is it appropriate to write my GPA as a 3.5/4.0 and then apply to those internships? Note that I am rounding appropriately, I am not going to put 3.50/4.00, I will only put 3.5/4.0. I will also not apply to any jobs which request a 3.50 or 3.500000 or anything like that. Just ones that request a 3.5.

Talk to an advisor. I was always told not to presume that it’s OK to round up, so I just put 3.08 instead of 3.1 … it shouldn’t really matter in the long run anyway. Seriously, one hundredth of a point cannot be a make-or-break point for a candidate, lest the company be absurdly strict.

it SHOULDN’T be a problem. but if the resumes are automatically filtered it will be
