<p>is this "additional essay" part of your application? Did the college ask for it? Otherwise..you really shouldn't be sending an additional essay.</p>
<p>I didn't put anything in the additional info section. Plus, this essay really shows my personality and my cultural background so I think it will help me.</p>
<p>Sending an additional, unrequested essay will likely not help you. Think of how many essays the average admissions counselor must read just to get through the pile of applications. What makes you think that he/she would want to read another one? </p>
<p>The likely result is that the admissions counselor tosses it. The worst case is that the admissions counselor gets annoyed that you sent it. The best case, that it's read and helps you, is remote. (This would be true even if you had put it in the "Additional Info" section - that section doesn't request an additional essay.)</p>
<p>Well it was suggested by Michelle Hernandez in her book Acing the College Application to write an additional essay to college if it doesn't request a "Why This College" essay.</p>
