One of the reasons I'm hesitant to attend UCLA over Case Western Reserve is that its so big. I'm scared I won't be able to stand out of the crowd when I apply to med school. Major: bioengineering. I'm stuck between UCLA and Case.

I am leaning 55% to UCLA because of how awesome UCLA is, the urban city, the people, the weather, the pride in the school. But 45% to Case because it's private and costs about as much (I got a scholarship) and professors might be able to help me out more since it's a smaller school. Case's social scene isn't as good though, and people don't seem to be as happy as they are in UCLA. School pride is important to me.

So I would like to know how it is to be pre-med in UCLA. Good? Bad? Regrets? Why?

Thanks :)
