I'm bound to be asked this during an upcoming interview for a school I'm applying to. How are you supposed to answer this question [and answer it well]? What's expected of this question?

Thank you.

Thank you.

good question. i want to see the answer!

LOL. Me too!!

i hae no idea either, sorry
but id like to know too!

bump i want to know too :)

anyone who has had an interview, how did you answer this question?

suprisingly my interviewer never asked me.

bump. I know for sure I'm going to be asked this, my friend who went to the same interview did.

Depends on the school. But most schools would want to hear how you are going to light up the classroom with questions and discussion. How inquisitive you are, and how you look forward to such high level dialogue even out of the classroom. You want to be surrounded by students of the same ilk. Get it?

I was asked this question during my JHU interview. I told him I was only a 17-year-old kid and that in the big picture, nothing significant would be contributed. He just laughed.

In your interview, I don't advise saying something like that straight out. I made that comment towards the end of my interview after I've had the chance to read the personality of my interviewer.

My good GOD!!!! Do not say anything like that!

The only reason I said that in my interview was because I was aware that he didn't expect much. He had the question written down on a piece of paper and dictated it towards me in a rather uneasy tone.

Anyway, that was after I got to know my interviewer. He was a surprisingly young plastic surgeon with a great sense of humor.

I definitely don't advise saying what I've said to your interviewer. If the person just happens to be a rather serious individual, it would most likely be detrimental to the interviewer's overall perception of your character.
