How can you convert O and A Levels grade to GPA?

Guys I am putting together my athletic resume for college but dont know what to put in GPA as I did O & A Levels in my high school. Is it possible to convert my grades to GPA?
My grades:
–O level
Maths A
Phys A*
Chem A*
Bio A
Geography A
ICT B
–A level
Maths A
Chem C
Phys B

You could start with one of these sites. Your grades would be converted to A, B, B on a US A-F scale. The IGCSE United Kingdom GPA calculator on http://www.foreigncredit…esources/GPA-Calculator or https://www.scholaro.com/grade-conversion/

For example…

Advanced Level:

A*:4.00
A : 4.00
B : 3.30
C: 3.00
D: 2.30
E: 2.00

GCSE:

A*: 4.00
A: 4.00
B: 3.30
C: 3.00
D: 2.30
E: 2.00
F: 1.30
G: 1.00

So I calculate the sperate GPA of O and A Levels?

Yes - their conversions are different. I would suggest contacting admin at your school or a local university for additional guidance.

The thing is im not from US and my high school is not aware of these NCAA recruitments. So they cant really help me regarding this issue. If u can , can u calculate my gpa ? that would be great help

I definitely would not recommend asking a stranger to calculate your GPA! Assuming you are an International College-Bound Student-Athlete, I would reach out directly to the NCAA Eligibility Office that handles these applications at: ec-international@ncaa.org

The country code for the United States is “1” and the NCAA Eligibility Center telephone number is 317/917-6222. The fax number is 317/968-5100. The NCAA Eligibility Center office is open Monday through Friday between the hours of 10 a.m. and 5 p.m. U.S. Eastern time.

Good luck!

You are going to have to work with NCAA eligibility center as aug2019 states, they will do the GPA conversion/calculation for you. They will need official transcript documents, and possibly other materials.

Go here to educate yourself before you call them:

https://www.ncaa.org/student-athletes/future/international-student-athletes
http://www.ncaa.org/student-athletes/future/submitting-international-documents

They have country specific information as well

Good luck.

It’s not all about gpa.

Unless you’re a recruit, if you’re looking at a STEM major, they’ll see the C and B grades. Do you have the right college targets in mind?

It’s pretty easy.
Add all the numbers (4*5 + 3.3) for OLevels and ALevels (4+3.3+3): ( 23.3/6) + (10.3/3)= 3.89+3.43/2 = 3.66.

Let’s assume s/he is, since the post is in athletic recruits and the OP is doing an athletic resume.

Actually, it’s not, since users are spreading misinformation. NCAA does not use the links in post 1 to convert GPA. NCAA uses a purely whole point conversion as follows:

A-Levels
A*/A = 4
B/C = 3
D/E -= 2
Zero for all other grades

O-Levels
A*/A = 4
B = 3
C = 2
D/E = 1
Zero for all other grades

Now the above is for the GCSE in the UK (and specifically England and Wales). The NCAA may (or may not) apply the same scale to other countries using IGCSE (e.g. Pakistan, which based on other posts is the OP’s country), so the OP absolutely should contact NCAA to confirm.

^ but the math is easy. You add then divide.

Sure, once you know the numbers to add.

If it was not clear from my previous posts - I was not instructing the OP to use any of the numbers I provided for his/her calculations. I only was providing an example of the type of information you could find at the related links. I believe the NCAA will do the calculations themselves as @Mwfan1921 indicated above. If the OP does a little research at the NCAA website they will be able to find the answers they need.

These scores look well above the NCAA’s minimum to play Division I. You just need some fairly low score on the SAT or ACT. The A-levels are probably not what an Ivy or whatever wants even from a recruited athlete, but they should be good for a lot of schools. The coaches who are recruiting you should be able to help you with all of this.
