How can you elegantly broach the topic of transfer??

Hey Guys!
So the quarter is about to end and I'm about to do the most troublesome thing--asking for a transfer rec. I got super high grades on the tests and the professor deemed me as his "top ace student". So I just can't imagine how awkward it's gonna be when I ask him to write me a recommendation letter for transfer, He will be so disappointed (he is an old guy who lived in one place for his entire life).

So, for those of you who did get strong recommendation letters, how did you do that??

i told my teacher i needed to transfer to the city so that i would have better location for internships and networking

it’s not like ‘i hate your town, help me get out of here’

Wow that’s a good reason! Thanks By the way, did you professor include the reason why you wanna transfer in the rec letter? If he did, I think I have to tell the truth: I like that school better than this one…

i doubt your prof is going to write why you want to transfer, thats not what the letter is for

you should be good, either way i dont think the guy is going to take it personally
