I have taken several practice act exams in which my ACT score ranges anywhere from a 32+ to 28. I am kinda desperate to get a 32 on math. I have tried to used the two pass strategy, but I tend to always get bogged down on a question or two.
Does anyone have some tips to get a more consistent score and improve my math score?
speed through the first 50 so you have more time for the last 10 (more difficult) questions. got 33 in math
Reviewing the unit circle and trig functions (including the definition of a period, amplitude, etc.), law of sines, circle and ellipse graphs/equations, and matrices (also remember how to apply these to a system of equations) should help with a few problems you may be uneasy about. The rest of the problems usually are applying concepts from a basic geometry/algebra course that you have taken before. Recognize which problems you tend to frequently miss and go over those concepts and do practice problems that relate to your problem area(s). Since your score fluctuates a lot, could it be because you are not reviewing your mistakes on the practice exams and fully understanding why you’re answering them incorrectly? That is very important for you to do.
