How can you write about Gap year when it hasn't even began?

<p>I am really confused about the idea of Gap Year. Nearly all sites advice to include what one did over the gap year with one’s application. I graduated from high school last June and I will take a year off. I volunteered over the summer like I did in previous summers, and I am going to apply early. The year has not even properly began, how am I expected to talk about what I will do like I did it already? </p>
