My liberal, non-Catholic, non-religious daughter is considering St. Bonaventure. Any insight on how comfortable she might feel there? Thanks.
@rrobb St. Bonaventure has been around a long time and has graduated lots of famous people.
I would not consider the school overly religious. Franciscans are rather laid back and easy going, with teachings surrounding nature and a belief that “God” is evident in all things. Franciscans were also the first to involve women in the church.
The President of the school is a nun, as evidence.
The school is well known for a warm and friendly atmosphere. The campus is very pretty. I would say its among the best schools in the east for a B - B+ student, especially for students wanting to major in Business, Journalism, Communications and Education.
