How closely did your PSAT score match your SAT score?

10th Grade PSAT: 156
11th Grade PSAT: 173
December SAT: 1880
March SAT: 2040

11th Grade PSAT: 225
January SAT ---- : 2190
March SAT ------ : 2270

Remember that the SAT to PSAT comparison is largely influenced by PSAT prep. I, for example, studied a lot for the PSAT and did very well. By the time I took the PSAT, I was already nearing my maximum potential scores, so my SAT scores were in the same ballpark as my SAT scores.

For someone who had never looked at an SAT prep book until after their PSAT, their SAT should show a huge jump.

Kinda close. 196 PSAT without any studying. 2130 SAT after one practice test.

9th PSAT: 183
10th PSAT: 203
11th PSAT: 218
11th SAT: 2200

fairly close. but a much different point distribution

For me it was a drastic increase with the blue book.

10th PSAT: 46 CR, 56 M, 45 W ==== 147

11th PSAT: 59 CR, 65 M, 68 W ==== 192

11th SAT: 660 CR, 730 M, 750 W === 2140

there would have been a corrolation if i hadn’t prepped because i was totally clueless on my 10th grade PSAT.
I will retake in october after reviewing with Rocket Review and i hope to get my CR in the 700s!!

10th PSAT: 223
11th PSAT: 224 ****…
Jan 09 SAT: 2300

too gangsta for prep. also i dont feel like blowing 50 bucks just to up a few points since a 2300 is not gonna make or break me

PSAT Soph: 157
PSAT Junior: 167
SAT: 1860

I kinda studied, and I’ll take it again in October… another 200 point jump would be grand! haha. I’ll keep wishing.

PSAT 205
SAT 2220 and hopefully rising

10th grade PSAT - 191
11th grade PSAT - 204 (good enough for NM semifinalist/finalist in Arkansas, thankfully)
SAT (taken in 12th grade) - 2270

So for me, it wasn’t close at all.

10th PSAT - 210
11th PSAT - 219, 77,77,65
SAT - 2220, 720,800,700

10th grade psat- 172
11th grade psat- 196 (i made some REALLY stupid mistakes on writing)
11th grade sat march- 2290 (800 on writing, none missed, proves my stupid mistakes on previous psat)

most likely not retaking

10th grade PSAT - 218
11th grade PSAT - 214
11th grade SAT January - 2170
11th grade SAT June - (hoping/anticipating 2300+)

I didn’t do any preparation for the PSATs or the SAT, so the score differences are largely due to normal variation. I’m fervently hoping for a 2300+ in June with a reasonable amount of preparation (completed the BB in the two week period before the test—averaged 2320 on all practice tests taken).

10th PSAT: 207
11th PSAT: 226
11th SAT: 2110
11th SAT: 2300

The best part was when my Writing went from PSAT 80 to SAT 650, back to SAT 800. Lol.

11th PSAT: 205
11th SAT (november):2020
11th SAT (march): 2100

haha, mine were almost exact:

10th PSAT: 208
11th PSAT: 221 (74CR, 67M, 80W)
11th SAT (March): 2200 (740 CR, 660M, 800W)

10 PSAT: 197
11 PSAT: 234
11 SAT (March): 2230

hopefully i raise my SAT this october…

10th grade PSAT: 205 (70 M, 80 R, 55 Writing)
11th: 207
SAT: 2280 (740 M, 800 CR, 740 Writing)

Basically i got my grammar skills up lol

10 PSAT: 161 (50 CR, 68 M, 43 W) the passages were boring, so I didn’t pay attention, I didn’t really feel like taking it that day anyways lol

11 PSAT: 187 (60 CR, 72 M, 55 W) didn’t pay much attention, but did try a little harder on critical reading.

SAT: 2270 (730 CR, 800 M, 740 W) I studied A LOT from the Blue Book after the PSAT since I knew the actual SAT was very important.

9th & 10th: 150’s
10th grade SAT: 1900’s

11th: 220
11th grade SAT: 2000’s

10 PSAT- 183
11 PSAT- 201
SAT- 2000 (first try)

So my PSAT results matched my first try SAT results. I didn’t do any studying though. Maybe my scores would have jumped. I have to wait a few more days for my new SAT results… my practice tests have all been just over 2200. I’m keeping my fingers crossed!
