How colleges view SAT scores

Some schools still take in Writing into consideration don't they? Because I heard that Liberal Arts schools will look at your Writing scores?

yes i think so. i mean logically speaking really good schools will look at everything and want your scores in EACH section as high as possible, because they have so many applicants to choose from. If you're getting say 750+'s in other sections, a 600 in Writing won't look good.

Nope not all true.. gud colleges are ones who put the max emphasis on not considering SAT writing coz percentiles are still not available..

BUt they will be considered ...like u can say it can boost cecrtainly but certainly not be the factor they look for

Also ..i dont understand 1 thing..u ppl take it to be so subjective

Lemme remind all of u that most places adcomm dont directly look at sats... It is evaluated on a marking system, like academic index

all ur school records sats and gpa and rank go to make u 1 big thing ... that is imp..
Individuals are not considered in that detail if other parts are balancing it...

Is it true that adcoms will weight the grammer subscore more than the essay score? For example: Some kid got an 80/80 grammer but a 7 essay, and another got 65/80 and a 12 essay. Would they just look at the 200-800 score, and consider them the same? Or will they prefer the 80/80 because the 7 essay could've just been bad luck.

partly true..they will want to see the grammer subscore more ......

And anything above a 61-62 in it wud be gud ... in better terms ..
