<p>Wasn't the first payment supposed to be disbursed yesterday (the 17th)? It hasn't shown up on my account yet, nor are there money in my bank account. </p>

<p>not my bank account. the loan does not get disbursed into your bank account unless you have any leftover after you are charged. i checked the fin aid status section on tritonlink to and the disbursement info was all the for the loan and when it got certified. my stafford loan got certified on aug 10. make sure you've completed the master promissory note and the loan tutorial thing that could also be why you haven't heard received it yet.</p>

<p>The loan does not go to you, it goes directly to the school to pay your tuition. So the money never passes through your hands (your account). You should be getting notice that the loan has gone through if you check your financial statement on tritonlink, and the lender that supplied you the loan should send you something in the mail.</p>
